“I act as a curator” has become the way I describe how I document weddings. On one hand, I am a gatherer who calmly and discreetly collects your moments and emotions for preservation and wonder. On the other hand, I am an artist who is crafting an experience — which later becomes a tangible exhibition of memories for you to enjoy for years. A witness and champion of your beautiful story.
I believe moments should be captured as they come — candid, fleeting, emotive and best left uninterrupted. Moments like your granny’s laugh or your dad’s best attempt at hiding a tear. That being said, I will also direct you at appropriate moments — to help you look and feel confident, show off your dress and capture those jaw-dropping images your grandchildren will return to over and over again. This style of wedding photography has become known as SOFT EDITORIAL.

Hi, I’m Damian! I’ve been a wedding photographer in Cape Town for four years now. Honestly, I still can’t believe people want me to take photos of them — it’s such an incredible honour and blessing.
I’m an art fanatic. I’m that person who could spend a whole day in a museum. I have always wanted to create things and have tried many forms of art. Photography is one of the forms that stuck! I also love slow travel, coffee, connection with people and Jesus.
I pride myself on being a friend and a guide. Previous couples have described me as a non-anxious presence on their wedding day and have said that I helped them stay calm and be present. I really value this — I want to be someone who holds your vulnerability well, and be someone you can wholeheartedly trust.

Film photography is a lost art which is now being rediscovered as a luxury. It takes immense skill and some specialised camera gear. But the results are unrivalled and full of life and texture that can’t be replicated. If you want to know more I have a whole article on it that you can read.
I love shooting a blend of digital and analogue 35mm film. If you want to have a luxurious film experience, you can request to have an additional photographer who specialises exclusively in film join me for the whole of your wedding day.
Destination Wedding Photography
Even though I am a Cape Town-based wedding photographer, I am more than happy to travel across South Africa and (and the world) to photograph your wedding.
If you are getting married somewhere special, please reach out and let me know. I only charge additionally to cover my travel arrangements, and I include it in a single price to keep it simple for you.
