I’ve been lucky enough to photograph more than one wedding here, and this venue has yet to disappoint. Dusty light, mountain backdrops, enchanted forests, hill-top chapels and glass houses – all these elements make Montpellier a remarkable place for a wedding photos.

One of my favourite features of Montpellier is how it’s evening light filters into the space. As the evening sun pours into the Tulbugh Valley, through the dust thrown up by the neighboring farm land, the harsh full sun is dispersed. The result is a soft golden wash that paints on skins. I love making use of this light in two places. On the law area for bright-lit candids and up by the chapel for more emotive shots. Beyond these two places, Montpellier has such diversity to it’s space There’s many different scenes for imagery and making use of that is a treat. I enjoy using this variety to create interesting galleries for wedding couples. My hope is that in years to come, as people look back on their wedding photos, that they’ll still discovering new images they love because this variety.
