I’ve had the honour of photographing the Myburgh family for a long time – so when Kyle and Jordan’s wedding came up, I was really excited.
Kyle and Jordan chose to get married at the prestigious Forum Embassy Hill wedding venue in Constantia. This property is manicured, beautifully spacious and lined with colourful hydrangeas. It is a truly stunning place to get married!
The day began with relaxed preparations – the girls with makeup and the guys with haircuts. Once everyone was ready, we all moved to St. Michaels Catholic Church. The ceremony was tasteful and flecked with sanctuary light and stained-glass colours.
Back at Embassy Hill for the reception, the guests enjoyed canapés on the front lawn and then moved inside for dinner. Kyle and Jordan first had a round of family photos in front of the blue and purple hydranges. Then the couple joined their wedding party for some fun group shot on the back lawn. Then finally, we took some private couple portaits as the light softened towards twilight.
The reception was animated with hilarious speeches from friends and family as well as heartfult expressions of thanks and love. The evening then ended with some wild dancing, with even the grandparents joining in.
