An Old Money Wedding isn’t about extravagance, it’s about a quiet confidence in your taste. It’s about timeless style with traditions and spaces that never feel overstated, often drawing on direction from high-end fashion. And it is more felt that seen.
For Mark and Amber, Cape Town provided the perfect backdrop for their classy celebration. Their wedding began at the stone and stain-glassed St George’s Cathedral where a stringed trio help set the atmosphere. Then, guests gathered for an intimate reception at the historic Cape Town Club. As the sun set over Cape Town City itself, we made our way to Signal Hill, where the final portraits benefited from dramatic light and grand mountain scapes.
Mark and Amber spent the rest of the night dancing, laughing and enjoying incredible food with their friends and family.
I personally believe the beauty of an old money wedding lies in restraint. Rather than chasing what’s fashionable today, these celebrations are designed to feel just as relevant decades from now. They’re goal is timeless with a touch of the dramatic.
