The Hidden Gem: Natte Valleij
Natte Valleij, a wedding venue in the heart of the Cape Winelands, is truly one of South Africa’s hidden gems. This enchanting location makes you feel like you are stepping into a secret garden. It boasts beautiful grounds with ancient oak trees and old colonial houses. It’s the perfect venue if you want something magical and intimate for your big day.
I recently got to be part of a photography team that captured a classy wedding at Natte Valleij. The day was exciting with thunderstorms rolling in overhead during the morning. Thankfully, the weather cleared up for a warm evening of laughter and even ice cream!
Gina and Ant, who were an absolute dream to work with, embraced the day with open arms. Their friends created a fun atmosphere while their connection with each other was raw. This emotional backdrop framed within Natte Valleij made the images feel cinematic. The photos came out feeling alive.
The wedding itself was nothing short of a dream. From an outdoor ceremony to dinner in a restored barn, every moment was elegant and thought through. The relaxed canapes in the garden gave us great candid shots. Then, the horse paddocks gave us more movie-quality moments.
